History
Paranormal investigations AKA Ghost Hunting only dates back to the nineteenth century but really only gain popular interest in the early 2000’s due to TV series like Most Haunted and Ghost Hunters.

Is it a Science?
Ghost Hunting in the most basic terms is not but Parapsychology is. Parapsychology is the study of ‘alleged’ paranormal claims. Although it is accused of being a pseudoscience, it is a field of study. It was coined in 1889 by Max Dessoir a German philosopher and since then has been up for debate.
Where is the Proof?
Although there are countless videos, audio recordings, and written records of experiences, there is no ‘solid’ scientific proof. By solid I simply mean irrefutable evidence that can be tested and proven using scientific methods.
